Sunday afternoon, 7/23/17, the garage door wouldn't open after hearing what sounded like a shotgun blast. I suspected one of the springs had broken. I Googled "garage door repair" and the first company who came out wanted a minimum of $900 which included very expensive springs, $249 each, new cables, a $100 tune-up, et al. That was for the "Good" repair and price went up exponentially for "Better" and "Best" at $1,500.00. No kidding! I sent them away and Googled again to find Desert Garage Doors AZ. I wanted a company who was available on a Sunday with no up-charge for a weekend service call. I spoke to Ram who said he'd be there within the hour and would call at 20 minutes away. An hour and half later, I phoned again to be told he had just finished another job(that's fair)and was going to call. He'd be at my home within 20 minutes.
He arrived when he said he would and assessed the problem as a broken spring. We would need to replace both springs @$129 each installed + $75 labor. I thought this was very fair and reasonable and gave him my credit card.
Ram was very courteous, professional and easy to deal with. He is also a salesman and wanted to do more work to the garage door. Because he was already on location, I would save $55 in an additional labor charge. I thanked him for his insight but declined the additional work at this time.
I don't know if this is a new start up business but invoice was hand written without an imprinted business name. He did leave several business cards for me to pass on. I was very satisfied with his work.
This company has been accredited with BBB since May 2017 with no reviews and no complaints. They have been issued an "A" rating.
I needed my garage door repaired early last Sunday morning and Ram the installer called me right away and was at my house in about an hour or so. Very professional and courteous, diagnosed my repair and made a few suggestions about my current door and opener and gave me a fair reasonable quote. All work done in an efficient manner. I would highly recommend Ram and his company to anyone.Great guy, great service. I will sue again if needed.
